Getting In

Finding the door

The apartment entrance is on the opposite side of the driveway, on the ground floor.

The keypad

There’s a keypad at the door. Enter your code and press the check mark to unlock.

Locking up

The door locks itself automatically one hour after it’s closed. Before then, you can lock it yourself by:

  • Pressing the button on the inside (or turning the knob), or
  • Pressing the lock icon on the keypad from outside.

This door has frame deadbolts, so the handle needs a firm, full lift before it will lock properly:

  1. Lift the handle all the way up. You’ll feel an intermediate stop partway through — keep pulling past it.
  2. This actuates the deadbolts. You can let go right after.
  3. Now the door will lock fully when you press the button, turn the knob, or use the keypad.

Be firm about it, especially in cold weather — a half-hearted lift will let the door latch but jam the deadbolt.
