Water

Boiler room

The boiler room is the left-hand door in the kitchen as you come from the apartment entrance.

Turning on the water

The main water valve is next to the door to the garage in the boiler room. It’s the green-handled valve:

  • Open — handle parallel to the pipe.
  • Closed — turn it 90°.

There’s also an automated valve installed at the same spot. Press the button on the front to turn it on or off. If it doesn’t respond, unplug it, plug it back in, and try again.

Turning on the water heaters

Once the water itself is on, head to the fusebox right next to the boiler room door. The right two fuses control the water heater — switch them on (or off) there.

The apartment’s water heater has been replaced with a remote-controllable one, so this should be the only one you need to worry about.
