What to Expect on Arrival

To save energy between stays, a few things are intentionally switched off or set to a minimum before you arrive. None of this means anything is broken:

• Heating — thermostats are left in frost-protection (“CF”/“HG”) mode. See Heating for how to turn it up.
• Water — the main water supply is off. See Water for how to turn it on.
• Water heaters — off, until the water and the apartment heating are on. See Water.

Most of this can also be switched on remotely, so if something seems off, it may already be on its way — but it’s worth checking the relevant page below rather than assuming a fault.
